• Succinic acid (butanedioic acid) : It occurs in our bodies in what is called the Krebs cycle, and is an important metabolic event. The Krebs cycle is the basic process of aerobic cellular respiration. Succinic acid and its salts directly affect cellular metabolism, positively affecting the transport of ions in the cell and the transport of gases in the body (oxygen and carbon dioxide). It gives the skin energy and has a rejuvenating effect on cellular metabolism. In cosmetics, it is used for hyperpigmentation, acne, stretch marks, rosacea, anti-aging programs, and common skin bumps in women.
